Now lets get into this salad.
Total prep & cooking time: 30 minutes to an hour.
Things you'll need
Arugula or any type of lettuce
Romano cheese or shredded parmesan cheese
USDA CHOICE BLACK ANGUS BONE-IN BEEF RIB SHORT RIBS FLANKEN STYLE
your choice of salad dressing ( I used ranch for this recipe)
tail on raw shrimp (with/without tail)
Olive oil or any oil of your liking
DISCLAIMER: All of the seasonings mentioned are Optional. add any seasoning you have unless you want to experienced the taste that I had with this recipe :)
Seasonings : for steak/shrimp
Black pepper
mccormick honey hickory seasoning
Chopped garlic (1/5 of chopped garlic)
1/2 of chopped parsley (dried or you can use regular parsley)
1/2 Goya seasoning ( yellow bottle)
1/2 of Garlic powder
Seasoning for steak/rib:
1/2 of black pepper
1/2 of parsley
1/2 of brown sugar
1/2 of Goya seasoning
1/2 of Steak seasoning specifically McCormick Grill Mates Montreal steak seasoning
1/2 italian seasoning and thyme. (McCormick Italian Seasoning)
Steak Prep :
For your seasoning of the Steak, take a bowl and add in your steak first and following along after should be your ingredients that are mentioned above, But first add onto your steak your Olive Oil and then your seasonings onto your meat. That includes the Black pepper, Garlic powder, chopped parsley, brown sugar, Goya seasoning, and your steak seasoning And then you can combined the ingredients but either rubbing the seasonings into the steak or using a spoon, tongs etc to make sure the steak is evenly covered in said seasonings. Put your steak to the side and you can now start prepping your Shrimp :)
Shrimp prep :
Now that your Steak is on the side, you can now start seasoning your shrimp to your steak follow the same process 1. Oil 2. seasoning 3. Mix & Combine.
So take your tail on shrimp add on your Olive oil and after add on your , 1/2 of Italian seasoning and thyme combined, 1/5 of chopped garlic, Black pepper, Garlic powder, Chopped parsley, and your 1/2 of mccormick honey hickory seasoning and the other ingredients mentioned above onto your shrimp and Finally... Mix
Now that both meats are seasoned and prepped.
Start to preheat your oven, Set it at 350°
While the oven is preheating,
Then take an oven pan and add on both meats but separately onto the same pan evenly. after your oven is done preheating proceed to add your pan into your oven And allow both meats to cook for 30 minutes with supervision. But After 10 minutes, Check on the shrimp and removed them to Avoid overcooked shrimp and allow the steak to cook for the additional 20 minutes.
Salad prep :
Prepare your arugula or any lettuce to your liking to your salad, you may wash your lettuce before starting which is what I did but after Washing your lettuce, dry it with a paper towel to avoid soggy salad/ lettuce, before adding in your cheese (Romano/shredded parmesan cheese) and then you can set the salad on your plate on the side for when your protein is ready
FINALLY
After the 30 minutes are up, take out your protein out of the oven and allow to cool down for 10 minutes to an hour, (OPTIONAL) and add your steak and shrimp onto your plate next to your salad and Then add on your Dressing and your done, you then have your Surf & turf KETO friendly salad. it something so simple and easy and delicious.
